



Doha, Qatar - The spirit and beauty of the Arabian horse is one of the treasures enjoyed by people around the world. Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, recently hosted a special evening tour for guests of the Qatar Cultural and Social Center for the Deaf (QCSCD) to offer the group a personal experience with the prized Arabian horses.
Created in 2005, QCSCD assists people with audio disability of all nationalities and ages in the fields of education, awareness and entertainment. A group of 11 members were entertained by Al Shaqab with a tour of the Arabian Show Horse stables and a presentation of the organization's current and future equine stars. The evening was filled with lasting memories for the QCSCD members as several photo opportunities were held including a group photos with the mare.
His Highness, The Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani founded Al Shaqab in 1992 to preserve and further develop the Arabian horse in Qatar. Al Shaqab is led by H E Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and encompasses a Breeding & Show division, Riding Academy and Endurance Team. In 2004, Al Shaqab proudly became a member of Qatar Foundation. Al Shaqab's mission is to promote the highest standards in the breeding and showing of Arabian horses and serve as a community resource with innovative, educational and competitive opportunities in all of the equestrian arts.
