Arabian horses sired and bred at Al Shaqab have been enjoying a winning season at national and international shows
Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, continued its international winning streak at the Austrian National and International Arabian ECAHO B- show in Wels, Austria, with all of its seven participating horses gaining notable positions.
The latest success comes after previous Al Shaqab triumphs at International Arabian Horse Shows held across Europe and the United States.
Each of the stallions, colts, and fillies that earned top honors in Austria were sired by Al Shaqab’s leading stallions and bred through the world-class equestrian center’s notable breeding program.
There are presently 10 leading horses in the program, including the renowned Marwan Al Shaqab, Fadi Al Shaqab, and Ghazal Al Shaqab, amongst others.
Sheikh Hamad Bin Ali Al Thani, Manager of the Al Shaqab Breeding & Show Department, said: “I am very delighted with the performance and victory of our Arabian horses. Rather than confine our participation to just the prize-winning stallions and mares, we continue to introduce our yearling fillies and colts at shows, every season. As expected, they rise up to our expectation and prove their aristocratic lineage.”
In the closely contested show in Austria, silver championships were earned by Radad Al Shaqab, a grey stallion sired by Hadidy Al Shaqab out of Rasha Al Shaqab, and Arsalan Al Shaqab, a 2018 grey yearling colt sired by SMA Magic One out of Shamah Al Shaqab.
Te Al Shaqab and Huraymila Al Shaqab received bronze championships in their respective categories, while Ghalliba Al Shaqab and Sabah Al Sabah won 3rd place in their different classes and Aqil Al Shaqab was placed fourth.
Looking to continue on the winning trail, Al Shaqab will next participate in the prestigious Arabian Horse Championship in Menton, France, on June 22 and 23.
