    ABOUT BREEDING

    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

NASSER ALI AHMAD ALI AL KUWARI

Procurement, Logistics & IT Manager

Nasser Ali Ahmad Ali Al Kuwari has served Al Shaqab as the Procurement & Logistics Manager. He joined as the Head of Procurement & Logistics since 2010. Al Kuwari holds a Bachelors of Administrative Sciences and Economics Degree with a major in Business Administration from Qatar University in Doha, Qatar.

Al Kuwari brings previous experience from multiple companies in Doha, such as Doha Municipality, Ministry of Municipal and Agricultural Affairs, ASHGHAL, QSL, and QP-ORYX-GTL. In these roles, he received multiple recognitions for his work efforts, such as the Takreem Award at ORYX-GTL, the Best Employee Award at ASHGHAL, and the Excellent Efforts Award at ASHGHAL.

An avid fan of equestrian sports, he looks for Al Shaqab to make history hosting international competitions in their new facility when it opens, so people in Qatar and around the world can experience Al Shaqab and the wonderful facilities that will exist. Al Kuwairi expresses his wishes that Al Shaqab stay as one of the most leading sources for genuine Arabian horses in the world.

Al Kuwari resides in Doha with his wife and four children – Fatma, Ali, Mai and Ghanim.
