    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

The Third Edition of Equine Education Internal Competition

Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, will host the third edition of Equine Education Internal Competition on Friday 29 January, 2016 from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Al Shaqab plans to know the riders levels in horse riding and aims to provide them the chance of having a great experience at participating in tournaments.
The competition includes jumping competition in which there will be 4 classes, according to the riders’ levels:
Class one: 4 fences
Class two: 6 fences
Class three: 8 fences
Open class: 10-12 fences

There will be dressage test even that will include one test only, and a fun & play zone for kids.
There will be more than 50 riders in this edition, from different ages and nationalities.
To motivate the participants and encourage them, Al Shaqab offers certificates, awards and flowers for the winner.
This event is part of Al Shaqab vision to reach excellence and provide riders an ultimate experience in equestrian world preparing them to participate in external competitions in future.
