AL SHAQAB CAPTURES 100 KM CEI1* QATAR ENDURANCE CUP CROWN

AL SHAQAB had a good start in the race of the Qatar Endurance Cup series when Abdulrahman Al Sulaiteen rode Gazelles Du Bosphore Ewalraid to 1st place in the Qatar Endurance Cup – 100 Km CEI* race held last Saturday at the Mesaieed Endurance Track. Standing at 6th position in the last loop, he reached speeds of up to 26.32 Km/h to take his ride to a thrilling finish, completing the race in 5h12min29s with an average speed of 24,74 Km/h, at the top of the podium.

Other notable riders from AL SHAQAB included Ali Mohammed Al Hammadi astride La Aladdin in 4th place with an average speed was 21,42 Km/h. Mohammed Al Sowaidi completed in the 8th place with Farah El Shammar and 9th place Abdulla Mahmoud Darban riding Uhsan Du Sauveterre, both horses trained by Abdulrahman Al Sulaiteen.

In the 80Km CEI1* Qualifier Sultan Al Shamousi finish 1st riding Kinaye De Sinuhe.

Head of Endurance at AL SHAQAB, Jassim Al Madhadi stated “We are pleased with the results of our first competition. It will motivate the team to work harder and increasingly challenge them to have more podium finishes”
The Qatar Endurance Cup – QEC was organized by The Endurance Committee of the Qatar Equestrian & Modern Pentathlon Federation. The next endurance competition for AL SHAQAB will be the National Day Cup, 120 Km CEI2* to be held on 9 December 2017.
