    ABOUT BREEDING

    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

We are delighted to extend an invitation to you and your family for Al Shaqab Eid Festival, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. Eid festival will be held at Al Shaqab Longines Arena from the 22nd to the 25th of April, between 4:00-8:00 pm.

Experience the thrill of our first-ever Arabian Horse Parade, led by Al Shaqab students. Take a horse or carriage ride and enjoy the beautiful view of Longines Arena, both indoor and outdoor. Don't miss the opportunity to participate in archery, shooting, heritage workshops, and many other engaging activities.
