Exciting First Day of Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour Third Season

The first day of the opening tour of the Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour produced a number of excellent performances at Al Shaqab’s Indoor Arena.

 



The popular annual horse-riding competition series, now in its third season, is organized and hosted jointly by Qatar Equestrian Federation and Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation. 

In day-one action, Hussain Saeed Haidan bagged the Medium Tour title, riding Belucci Van ‘T Vleminkhof to victory. Jaber Rashid Al Amri, astride Canavaro De Muze (ET), claimed second place, while third place went to Mohamed Hazim Abara, riding Ambre De Beaufour. 

The Medium Tour winner was awarded by Longines Hathab Organizing Committee Vice-Chairman Omar Al Mannai.

The Medium Tour team title, meanwhile, was won by The Top, with the Al Shaqab team finishing second. Lusail took third place.

In the Small Tour 100/115cm class, Hamad Nasser Al Qadi, astride Hugo Z, claimed victory, while Abdulaziz Ghanim Al Nuaimi, riding Jalieny Diamant Z, finished second, and Khalifa Abdulla Al Khaldi, on Fantastique, took third.

The Small Tour winner was awarded by Longines Hathab Event Director Ali Al Rumaihi.

Longines, ExxonMobil, and Salam International are the main partners of the series.

The competition is open to Qataris and residents of Qatar, and a total of QAR 1.5 million is awarded as prize money.
