Quickly de Kreisker produces neat run as Ouaddar bags win

DOHA: Celebrated Moroccan rider Abdelkebir Ouaddar on Thursday produced a sublime run with Quickly de Kreisker to clinch honours on day one of the season’s final competition of the 2015 Longines Global Champions Tour.

 Ouaddar, the first Moroccan to qualify for the World Championship in Normandy last year, enjoyed a richly deserving ride with Quickly de Kreisker to win the CSI5* 1.50/1.55cm class at Al Shaqab Arena.

The 53-year-old, who gets royal treatment back home, walked off with the top prize of €30,195 after he clocked a time of 37.97secs.

Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher, astride Cool And Easy, finished in second spot in a time of 38.72secs despite producing a flawless routine.

Twenty-year-old Bertram Allen guided Molly Malone V to third spot after a ride that was clocked at 39.14secs.

Allen, the 2015 LGCT Paris Grand Prix winner with Romanov, bagged €13,725.

Title favourite Luciana Diniz from Portugal created a bit of stir with a neat run with Winningmood, securing the fourth spot.

Diniz, just two points behind points leader Scott Brash of Britain, clocked a time of 39.36secs.

Swiss rider Pius Schwizer, astride Giovanni van het Scheefkasteel, completed the top five (49.70secs).

In the 1:45cm class, Emanuele Gaudiano, astride Guess, scored an emphatic win with an impressive time of 26.83sec.

The Italian rider picked up the top prize of €1650 for his flawless routine.

Egypt’s Abdel Said surprised fans with a sublime run with Luron S Z to secure the second spot.

Luron S Z also produced a neat run in a time of 27.32sec as 26-year-old Egyptian picked up the prize of €1000.

Irish rider Cian O’Connor, astride Super Sox, finished in third spot with a time of 27.53secs. The 35-year-old rider picked up the prize of €750.

Earlier in Doha 2015 Invitational, 1.20/1.25m class, Qatari rider Khejaim Rashid Al Azba combined with Zenit 35 to win the a time of 55.32secs.

Ali Yousef Al Malki, astride Jackson, finished second in a time of 55.89secs,

Gysmo 26, ridden by Hamad Nasser Al Qadi, clinched the third spot. Al Qadi clocked 57.88secs.

In the 1.35/1.40m class (against the clock), Rashid Towaim Ali Al Marri produced a slick run with Beyonce, winning the competition in a time of 60.05secs.

Al Marri, later completed a neat routine with Kannada, securing second spot (64.82secs). Nasser Shbbab Albagami, who was astride WKD Lexington, completed the top three (67.31secs).
