AL SHAQAB Celebrates National Day at Darb Al Saai 2016

AL SHAQAB, Member of Qatar Foundation, celebrates the National Day at Darb Al Saei, where heritage & traditions abound.

Sharing the spotlight with other Qatar Foundation entities in a tent specially built for the occasion, Al Shaqab’s corner will feature a Photo Opportunity Stand, which will give the person the feeling of being at Al Shaqab; Al Shaqab Timeline, which celebrates Al Shaqab’s achievements and milestones in its development, allowing the audience to experience and enjoy a moment in time and share a part of Al Shaqab’s history. A Coloring Wall will also be provided, where children will have the chance to express their innate artistic talents to colour the entire Al Shaqab destination, besides an Interactive Video of Al Shaqab that will tell the story and achievements of each department at Al Shaqab.

A Horse Simulator will also be brought specially for the event to allow Qatar’s residents a chance to experience and feel the joy of riding a horse and, probably, fall in love with the equestrian world. Finally, a Kids Table with abundant sets of coloring pencils in the corner to capture children’s creative talents.

People will also enjoy watching the Arabian horse show. Many activities will be waiting for children & family to enjoy.
Through these activities, Al Shaqab aims to promote the community spirit and encourage children and families to find out more about equestrian world.

The above activities will be available at Darb Al Saei from 8 – 20 December 2016.

Al Shaqab was founded in 1992 by His Highness the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani with the aim of preserving and perpetuating the Arabian horse breed in Qatar. Al Shaqab promotes a range of equine discipline to ensure that the time-honored cultural tradition, heritage and appreciation of the Arabian breed are handed down in Qatar from one generation to another.
