AL SHAQAB Prepares for Equine Education Competition

With the primary aim of instilling the spirit of competition and raising the educational and cultural awareness level among its student riders, Al Shaqab’s Equine Education Department is set to hold its final competitions on Saturday, 09 April 2016. The event will be held at Al Shaqab’s state-of-the-art Indoor Arena from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Showcasing the Dressage and Show Jumping skills of 58 members of Al Shaqab’s Equine Education Department, there will be three classes for the Dressage competitions in the morning session and four classes for the Show Jumping competitions for the afternoon session. In addition, the department has prepared two entertainment shows to keep the audience entertained between the classes of competitions.

Mr Mohamed S Al Suwaidi, Al Shaqab’s Equine Education Manager said “This is
the final competition and is part of the new curriculum for our students
before their final exams and graduation in May 2016. The competition will
provide our young riders with the right environment that will enable them to
exchange experiences among themselves, help develop relations between them
and their horses and give them a better understanding of a competition
atmosphere. Through the competition, we would like to motivate them to
give off their best, improve their skills and push them to strive towards
higher standards”

“On top of it all, Al Shaqab will also be offering a variety of fun activities for children at the Kids’ Fun Zone where they can enjoy popcorns, inflatable horse race, art & craft activities, etc. Horse Carriage Rides and Pony rides will also be offered at very minimal costs.” Entrance is free and open to the public.
