    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

BE PART OF AL SHAQAB VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Friends of Al Shaqab”, an in-house Volunteer Program of AL SHAQAB – a Member of Qatar Foundation, was launched in 2012 with the aim to support local, regional and international events and activities of AL SHAQAB,.


“Friends of AL SHAQAB” has provided volunteers and supported in the success of various major events in AL SHAQAB.
Due to the remarkable success of the program and good reputation, “Friends of AL SHAQAB” has been requested by other entities as well to support in their various events and activities.

The volunteers profiles come from a wide range of various nationalities, gender and age although volunteers under 18 years of age should secure approval from their parents or guardian. The program also supports and encourages individuals with special needs to join and be involved.

“Friends of AL SHAQAB” is handled by the Human Resources of AL SHAQAB, Everyone is invited to become part of this Volunteer Program and take an active role in organizing and supporting events.
