    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

Join us at Al Shaqab and enjoy the Equine Education edition of Hayaakum Festival, taking place on September 22-23, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Al Shaqab Longines Arena. This exciting event promises a plethora of activities for you and your loved ones to enjoy. From gymkhana to pony rides, lead rein riding sessions to bouncy castles, archery, arts and crafts to a play station, vaulting, and more, there's something for everyone to delight in.

Gymkhana event will be exclusively available on the first day of the Al Shaqab Hayaakum Festival. This exciting activity is open to age groups ranging from 3 to 14 years old. To ensure participation, it is essential to register in advance with our client relations team. The gymkhana sessions will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, offering a fun and engaging experience for our young enthusiasts.

 

Join us for vaulting classes during the Al Shaqab Hayaakum Festival, where you can experience the thrill of this captivating equestrian discipline. These classes will be available from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, providing ample time for participants to learn and practice this unique art of gymnastics on horseback. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, these classes offer a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills and enjoy a memorable adventure with our magnificent horses.

 

As a special highlight, the second day of the event will kick off with a training show starting at 3:00 PM, featuring talented riders and their equine partners in a captivating display of skill and coordination.

In addition to the thrilling activities, a diverse range of food and beverage vendors will be on hand, offering a wide selection of delicious treats to satisfy your cravings. Join us for an unforgettable experience at the Al Shaqab Hayaakum Festival.
