Local artist Haifa Al Saada expressed her delight at participating in the arts and crafts workshop. “Creating art while watching the competition has been very inspiring for me as it has encouraged me to look more closely at the horses and to notice more details about them, she revealed. I was also happy with all of the discussions I had with members of the crowd, especially those who are interested in art.”
Another Qatari artist, Ali Al Naama, described his involvement in the Jeel exhibition as an illustration of his patriotic fervour. “The main reason I participated in Jeel is because I love my country and I want to express my love for my country through my participation in Jeel,” he said. “Qatar is embracing a lot of sports events, especially in the equestrian field, so I am very happy to showcase my work at a competition as prestigious as CHI AL SHAQAB.”
