    ABOUT BREEDING

    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

Welcome to the QRS Ramadan Challenge 2024, a thrilling 4-race running series set against the majestic backdrop of the Al Shaqab Premises. This unique event promises to bring together runners of all ages for an unforgettable experience filled with athleticism, camaraderie, and the spirit of Ramadan.

Race Day Schedule:

  • 800M M/F Mini Kids (Age 3-6): 8:50 PM
  • 2.5K M/F Juniors (Age 7-16): 9:00 PM
  • 10K M/F Adults (Age 17+): 9:30 PM
  • 5K M/F Adults (Age 17+): 9:30 PM
  • 2.5K M/F Adults (Age 17+): 9:30 PM
