Sharbatly competes in CHI AL SHAQAB 2016 for first time

Saudia Arabian Para-Equestrian Dressage rider Ahmed Sharbatly placed fourth on the second day of CHI AL SHAQAB 2016 in the P10 – CPEDI3* Individual IV category with his horse, Whitney.

Competing in the tournament for the first time, Sharbatly said: “I am very pleased to be here. I have been to many Para-Dressage competitions and CHI AL SHAQABis definitely the best one I have attended, and.”
“Everything about CHI AL SHAQABhas been special in every way, from the warm hospitality to the world-class facilities,” the 36 year-old rider added.
Sharbatly who was first introduced to the Para-Dressage discipline when he attended CHI AL SHAQABas a visitorlast year, says he has the competition to thank for his success in the discipline.
Sharbatly’s brother, Abdullah Sharbatly, is a world-ranking show jumper. He won an individual silver medal at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, making him the first Arab rider in history to win an equestrian medal at an international championship.
