    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

Something For Everyone on Day 4 of CHI AL SHAQAB

Commencing with the final Para-Dressage (CPEDI3*) event from 08:00am to 11:45am, there is plenty to look forward to here at Al Shaqab on the last day of CHI AL SHAQAB 2016. .

Commencing with the final Para-Dressage (CPEDI3*) event from 08:00am to 11:45am, there is plenty to look forward to here at Al Shaqab on the last day of CHI AL SHAQAB 2016. .

 

The day will feature two of the three dressage categories - Grand Prix special from 12:30pm until 1:50pm, and freestyle from 2:30pm till 5:00pm. The line-up will also feature the last of the Doha Tour events to be held at Al Shaqab. And, from 5:30pm till 9:00pm, you can see the 5 star jumping Grand Prix in the stunning outdoor arena.

 

With a family-friendly festival zone, featuring pony rides and horse--carriage rides, video games, race car and horse riding simulators, magicians, LED jugglers, face painters, falcon handlers, henna ladies, qatari handicraft artists, a day care centre for toddlers and jumping castles, among others,  there is something for everyone in the family. So, come and watch world-class equestrianism and cheer on your local favourites.
